poker - weds 1st december

hi folks. poker is at our house at 8.30pm. the later time is cos our friends zoe and brian are coming for dinner first before they lose their poker virginity. it's a hard time for brian cos he lost his playgroup virginity at the weekend (with andy i hasten to add!) so your prayers would be appreciated.

A Rather Strange Request

As some of you may know, I am currently undertaking my PhD in local government and in selecting research methodologies I’ve come across one that rather handily is best carried out with friends. So I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to volunteer to be part of a memory group for an evening discussing either your encounters with the council or your perceptions of community (you guys can pick which). I need about 6-9 people and was thinking of doing it next Monday night (29th) at 8:00 at mine (246 Granville Road). I’ll provide drinks, brownies and pens and it’d be great if anyone can help.

Ok then. I texted a few people about this the other day, but I was a little drunk, so I thought I'd make sure you know I'm serious. We need to start a footie team! Or at the very least, start kicking a ball around on a Sunday morning (or another more appropriate day/time). It wouldn't be taken too seriously, just a bit of fun. So if you think you're really shit, but enjoy a kickabout in the park, you'd be more than welcome! Who's up for it then? If we start getting enough people turning up, we could enter the church league for next year! Although I may be getting ahead of myself a little.

here one to start things off - on the 1st of december, poker's being held at ours - we'll also have brian and zoe (and tate) (one of bea's best new mum friends) round for tea before hand too so you'll get to meet them too.
